Call For Papers - CFP
Sensors and sensor networks have unprecedented capabilities of building smart systems through sensing and monitoring applications, which provide tremendous benefits to the society.  Wired as well as wireless sensors and  sensor networks are active research topics in recent years due to their potential uses in diverse areas such as enhanced homeland security, conservation of natural resources, improved manufacturing productivity, improved emergency response, efficient energy utilization, food safety, automation of transportation systems, automatic environment and structure monitoring. Advances in sensors, sensor technologies and systems will help wide adaptation of sensors in all areas of our daily life.ASTSA-2012 will serve as a forum for researchers from academia, government, industries, professionals, standard developers, policy makers, students and practitioners to exchange ideas, present new results and provide future visions of the impact sensors will have in our life.Original technical papers on the advances in sensor technologies, systems and applications, as well as those that describe practical deployment and implementation experiences are solicited for presentation and publication.Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):Network topologies and architectures for sensor networksNetwork protocols for sensor networksDistributed sensor networksAdaptive sensor networksSensor networks and cloud computingSensor networks for cognitive radio systemsSensor network for vehicular ad hoc networksSensor networks for smart gridUnderwater wireless sensor networksSensors for Embedded SystemsMultimedia communications over sensor networksMobile sensor networksData gathering, integration, fusion, and dissemination in wireless sensor networksClustering, topology control, coverage and connectivityModeling, analysis and performance evaluationOperating systems and middle-ware supportMeasurements and experience from experimental systems and test-bedsHeterogeneous sensor networksMAC and routing protocols for wireless sensor networksLocalization and synchronization in wireless sensor networksPower aware and energy efficient design or wireless sensor networksBio-inspired sensor systemsResources management and dynamic resource allocationSecurity and privacy in sensor networkSecure communication in sensor networksMonitoring distributed sensorsEncryption algorithm in sensor networksMethods for sensor networks deploymentSensing in health care, security, environments, hazards etc.Remote sensingPolling in sensor networksIntelligent sensorsAll areas of sensor applicationsSUBMISSION:The authors are advised to submit their research paper following the Conference Publishing Service Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. Instructions for authors how to format the manuscript can be found at: http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/The papers should be 6 pages long. They will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. The papers should be submitted electronically through http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=astsa2012.If there is any problem during submission please contact the workshop chairs. Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance. Proceedings of the workshop along with the BWCCA-2012 will be published by Conference Publishing Service (CPS), will be included in Digital Library IEEExplore and will be indexed by most of the indexing systems.
