    Call For Papers - CFP

The Latin America Optics & Photonics Conference (LAOP) is an International Conference in which many of the important scientific advances in the field of optics will be presented. The scope of this meeting encompasses all of the major areas in optics and this meeting reports on the results of research that are having major impacts both in the scientific community as well as the applications world. Scientific topics include micro and nano-photonics, laser science and technology, atomic physics, advances in the development and use of modern spectroscopy, and quantum optics to mention a few. The meeting also has rich content of optical technologies ranging from the latest results in lighting and illumination engineering, the use of optical approaches in information sciences and optical communications to the latest developments in optical technologies for use in biomedical applications and clinical studies. In 2012, LAOP conference will be expanded to include additional topical categories covered in the 2010 RIAO-OPTILAS meeting. Several of these expanded categories cover research in astronomical instrumentation, color and vision, opto-mechatronics design and fabrication, thin films and environmental optics.

In its second year, the Latin America Optics & Photonics Conference is the major conference sponsored by the Optical Society (OSA) in Latin America and co-sponsored by the Brazilian Physics Society (BPS). Presentations from international experts from around the world make this meeting one of the most comprehensive optics meetings and offers the attendees the opportunity not only to hear the latest results but also to interact with many of the leading scientists and developers in the optics arena.
