Call For Papers - CFP
The Latin America Optics & Photonics Conference (LAOP) is an International Conference in which many of the important scientific advances in the field of optics will be presented. The scope of this meeting encompasses all of the major areas in optics and this meeting reports on the results of research that are having major impacts both in the scientific community as well as the applications world. Scientific topics include micro and nano-photonics, laser science and technology, atomic physics, advances in the development and use of modern spectroscopy, and quantum optics to mention a few. The meeting also has rich content of optical technologies ranging from the latest results in lighting and illumination engineering, the use of optical approaches in information sciences and optical communications to the latest developments in optical technologies for use in biomedical applications and clinical studies. In 2012, LAOP conference will be expanded to include additional topical categories covered in the 2010 RIAO-OPTILAS meeting. Several of these expanded categories cover research in astronomical instrumentation, color and vision, opto-mechatronics design and fabrication, thin films and environmental optics. In its second year, the Latin America Optics & Photonics Conference is the major conference sponsored by the Optical Society (OSA) in Latin America and co-sponsored by the Brazilian Physics Society (BPS). Presentations from international experts from around the world make this meeting one of the most comprehensive optics meetings and offers the attendees the opportunity not only to hear the latest results but also to interact with many of the leading scientists and developers in the optics arena.Optical Design and InstrumentationOptics for Renewable EnergyPolarization and Birefringence in Optical DesignLighting and Illumination EngineeringDiffractive and Holographic OpticsComputational Imaging and PhotographyPhotonic Devices for Sensing ApplicationsOptical Coherence TomographyTeraHertz Imaging and ApplicationsOptical MetrologyAstronomical InstrumentationOptics in Information ScienceOptical Information Processing and Transport in the Age of Nanophotonics and MetamaterialsOptical Signals and System in Four DimensionsComputational Imaging and PhotographyWavefront Design for Information Transport and SensingOptical StorageGeneral Optics in Information ScienceDisplaysOptical ImagingLEDs based devicesPhotonics in Arts Conservation and RestorationNonlinear OpticsFundamental studies and new conceptsNovel NLO characterization techniquesNonlinear Statistical OpticsSingle-photon nonlinear opticsSlow LightCoherent ControlNonlinear Organic and Inorganic MaterialsFrequency Combs and Optical ClocksTHz generation, spectroscopy and imagingQuantum OpticsQuantum Optics in WaveguidesQuantum computing and teleportationMicrocavity DevicesEntanglement Generation and MeasurementAnderson Localization of Classical and Quantum WavesOptical Probes of Molecular Chirality and Supramolecular Chiral AssembliesQuantum CommunicationsAtomic Physics and Laser SpectroscopyAtomic tests of fundamental physicsLaser spectroscopy, cooling and trappingChip traps for atoms, ions and moleculesQuantum optics and cavity QED with atomsBose-Einstein condensatesFermi gasesCold moleculesAtomic clocksAttosecond physics with atomsAtoms in optical latticesQuantum information processing with atoms and ionsArtificial atomsOptical CommunicationsNovel Fiber, Guided-Wave Optics and Integrated-Optical Devices for Future Communication SystemsAll-Optical Signal Processing Devices and ApplicationsCoherent communications and SuperchannelsOptical Networks for the Future InternetTerabit/s Systems and BeyondNovel Optical Amplifiers and Wavelength ConvertersQuantum CommunicationsMicro and NanophotonicsMicro and Nanofluidics systemsNanoplasmonics Devices and ApplicationsPhotonic Crystals and Optical CircuitsSilicon PhotonicsNanomaterials and DevicesNanoscale Optics ImagingNanophotonics for energyNanophotonics for sensorsNanophotonics for information processingMetamaterialsNanobiosensorsOptomechanicsBiophotonics and Biomedical ApplicationsOptical Trapping and MicromanipulationOptical BiosensingPhotonic Based Therapeutic and DiagnosticTissue Imaging and SpectroscopyMicroscopy Devices and ApplicationsOptical Coherence Tomography ApplicationsMolecular Imaging and NanomedicineMolecular Imaging in the EyeBiomedical Applications of Ultrafast OpticsSingle-Molecule BiophysicsGeneral Optics in Biology and MedicineLaser Science and TechnologySemiconductor Laser and DevicesSolid State LasersRandom LasersHigh Power Laser TechnologyHigh-Power Continuous-Wave and Fiber LasersUltrafast LasersInfrared LasersChaotic Lasers and ApplicationsExtreme Light SourcesLaser and Optical MaterialsLaser Metrology and Remote SensingLaser Processing and Industrial ApplicationsAll OSA Meetings are peer reviewed.
