Advancements in technology have created numerous risks that today's professionals should be aware of when evaluating scenarios for potential fraud. Although the digital age has definitely enriched out lives, it has done so for the crooks as well. Networking of data, digitalization and social networking has created an environment that is cheaper, faster and easier to exploit with illegal activities.

    When most people think about "digital fraud", they may first contemplate issues like "the cloud", "big data", "social networking". But the digital age has created many more opportunities for the fraudster to exploit. Everything from identify theft to credit card breeches and internal/external system penetration. It is imperative that professionals have an understanding of the various methods of digital fraud in today's evolving business environment.
