The journal is a multidisciplinary, double-blind peer-reviewed journal which aims to facilitate scholarly works and discussions related to academic research and practical insights from the field of cultural and creative industries (CCI). The journal aims to reach both professional and academic audience and to bring together interdisciplinary and multinational perspectives.

IJCCI publishes two regular issues and one special issue each year containing 6-8 refereed articles in the following tracks:

How important and effective the protection of intellectual property is will vary from industry to industry. In the cultural and creative industries where the innovative idea is often intangible and costly, creators are keen to protect their innovations as much as they can by exercising all forms of intellectual property rights. This issue covers key aspects of intellectual property in cultural and creative industries context. We welcome papers that reflect upon a wide range of intellectual property issues from industry development, business model, commercialization, legal system, contract, and licensing mechanism. The focus of this special issue is the characteristics of intellectual property in cultural and creative industries, profiting model of intellectual property, regional issues of intellectual property protection, government and legal system, and challenges of intellectual property in global market from policy, strategic, experimental, empirical or theoretical perspectives.
