    Call For Papers - CFP

Contemporary victimology and criminology recognize that an understanding of the factors that facilitate and contribute to occurrence of crimes requires a comprehensive approach that includes the victim, the offender, and the bystander. Therefore in addition to addressing issues concerning offenders and victims, this conference aims to shed some light on the role of bystander in facilitation and prevention of crimes, acts of violence, harassment and bullying. The conference also aims to explore the issue of bystander blaming. This conference seeks for papers pursuing empirical, normative, comparative and theoretical approaches. We welcome contributions from law and social science, including criminology, victimology, psychology, anthropology, philosophy, sociology and history.

The scope of the conference includes, but is not restricted to the following topics:

    1. The risk factors for different types of offenders and offences

    2. Theories on crime and criminality

    3. Offender therapy and rehabilitation
