Rapid industrialization has resulted in global warming, environmental degradation and depletion of scarce resources. Banking sector is the main source of financing for corporate world and hence it has capacity to transform the fortunes of the nation. However, banking sector is blamed for global warming and environmental degradation as it was promoting industrialization through its financing. Therefore, the onus is on banking sector to develop policies to combat global warming and environmental degradation. The proactive and timely intervention and action is also necessary by government, regulatory agencies, corporate bodies, NGOs and individuals. In this backdrop and as a responsive organization, the PG Dept. of Business Administration, RCU Belagavi is organizing 2 days International Conference on Green Banking for Green Industry and Green Economy.
