    The IEEE PELS-IES and PES-IAS Delhi chapter is organizing the PEICES 2016 from July 04 ? 06, 2016 at Delhi Technological University, Delhi, India. The conference will provide an opportunity to the practicing engineers, academicians and researchers to meet in a forum to discuss various issues in power electronics, solid state devices and its switching techniques, applications in drives, electric traction, fuzzy control, neural network control, evolutionary control, smart grid, HVDC, power system operation, FACTS, microwave, instrumentation etc. In view of the changing scenario under restructured power system and advancement in soft computing techniques, the conference aims to put together the experts from the relevant areas to disseminate their knowledge and experience for working towards intelligent control, smart grid and energy sustainability in the years to come. This conference is being organized by Department of Electrical Engineering, Delhi Technological University, Delhi in collaboration with IEEE Delhi Section. Delhi Section is one of the 11 Sections in India coming under Asia-Pacific Region, the Region 10 of IEEE. It covers entire northern part of the country consisting of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Union Territory of Chandigarh and the five states of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir. IEEE Delhi Section, which started on May 13, 1976 (after remaining as Sub-section since 1974), has as per August 2014 statistics 3869 active Members (excluding Affiliates belonging to the Societies only), consisting of 2 Honorary Member, 5 Life Fellow, 7 Fellow, 20 Life Senior, 185 Senior Member, 4 Life Member, 1118 Member, 71 Associate Member, 394 Graduate Student Member, 2063 Student Member.

    About DTU:

    Delhi Technological University (DTU) was established in 1941 as Delhi Polytechnic. In the year 1965, it was renamed as Delhi College of Engineering, the college was under the Delhi Administration, Govt. of India and affiliated to the University of Delhi since 1952. In July 2009 DCE was upgraded to a state university and renamed as Delhi Technological University. It offers courses towards Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), Master of Technology (M.Tech.), Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Master of Business Administration (MBA). It also have courses in B.Tech(Evening) for Diploma students of Delhi.

    About Electrical Engineering Department:

    The Department of Electrical Engineering is the second biggest department of the University. It offers two B.Tech. degree and two PG program in day time. It also have one UG program at evening. It having more than 20 research scholars registered in Ph.D. program. All the laboratories of the department are equipped with latest state of art equipments.
