Over the past three decades, the once nascent field of strategic management has seen dramatic evolutionary changes brought about by an increasingly complicated and complex business environment in conjunction with the combined activity of scholars, practitioners and consultants. This has resulted in the development of a robust body of knowledge upon which corporate leaders have consistently relied upon. However, the rapid changes in competitive environments and the active interference of societal factors have posed new sustainability questions bordering around strategy theory and practice. This year's AARESOC WBICSM themed "Evolution of Strategy: sustainability issues driving the theoretical and practical expansion of strategic management", will provide a platform and forum for the consideration of emerging and evolving sustainability issues in strategy theory and practice. We invite scholars, postgraduate students, as well as practitioners to submit articles for presentation at the AARESOC WBICSM, 2016.
