    The third International Conference on Science Technology Engineering & Management (JEPPIAAR – ICON STEM’17) is organised by the Engineering Science and Management Departments of Jeppiaar Engineering College on 23rd & 24th March, 2017. At present Government of India has declared to design and create 100 smart cities therefore the purpose of this conference is to present and exchange advanced knowledge and practices in an endeavour to create smart cities. Nanotechnology, Green environment, Integrated Urban Development and Waste Management are the areas of concern towards better life. The conference will create a platform for the researchers, policy makers and consultants to deliberate various issues pertaining to the creation of sustainable smart cities.The program provides an opportunity to the participants to understand the concepts involved in the indicators of smart cities as well as the characterization and modelling for the future sustainable environment.
