    Nuremberg July 20, 2017

NETWAYS announces the first confirmed speakers for the world's leading conference on Open Source Monitoring. The program offers a platform for long-term industry experts as well as beginners, in order to deal intensively with topics from the open source monitoring world. Amongst others, Alba Ferri Fitó (Vodafone), James Shubin (Red Hat) and Kris Buytaert will be part of the OSMC 2017.

Traditionally, the Open Source Monitoring Conference (OSMC) begins on Novermber 21 with four workshops on "Elastic Stack - Modern Logfile Management", "Icinga 2 - Distributed Monitoring", "Timeseries & Analysis with Graphite and Grafana" and "Ansible - Configuration Management".

In addition, the OSMC offers the public a broad spectrum of expert talks. After the CfP ended up on July, 31, the lectures will be divided into four thematic blocks. The first high-profile speakers have already been announced. This year, Alba Ferri Fitó will show you how the open source community helped her with many projects at Vodafone, and will discuss this in detail. We are also looking forward to James Shubin and his lecture on "Next Generation Config Mgmt: Monitoring". Kris Buytaert from Inuits is also present with his talk "Groovy There is a Docker in my Dashing Pipeline". We are also looking forward to welcoming Markus Thiel from Debeka and Rihards Olups from Nokia in November in Nuremberg. After each lecture, there will also be a small discussion session in which open questions can be discussed. Other speakers will be announced on the brand new official conference website.

Due to the success of the last years, the last day of the conference is devoted to a hackathon. All participants are cordially invited to contribute their own proposals for a project.

The Open Source Monitoring Conference annually attracts over 300 visitors from all over the world and is one of the largest international conferences in this field. With many years of experience, the organizer's guarantee a high-quality, sustainable specialist conference, which, in addition to technical knowledge, also offers an excellent opportunity to network and to initiate future-oriented projects.
