    Call for Papers

    Main Theme: Improving Education as a Social System in the face of Future Challenges

    Education, Society & Reform Research (EDUSREF-2018) is an international conference that aims to bridge the knowledge gap, promote social research esteem, and produce democratic information for potential education reforms.

    As the other social systems, the education systems from pre-school to higher education face the challenges deriving from social, demographic, economic, technological, political, and the other trends both in local and global level. It seems vital to respond to these challenges in short-term and prepare the reform frameworks in long-term for making and preserving education systems more effective than ever before. At least, one of the ways of this attempt is to enlarge and disseminate what we know about education and society.

    In this respect we expect the contributions of social researchers dealing with in the conference topic in the field of education, sociology, psychology, philosophy, management, economics, social anthropology, law, social statistics, etc. No particular methodologies will be preferred and we expect the submissions that reflect the widest range of robust and imaginative research designs.

    Interested researchers are invited to submit an abstract for a paper or poster presentation through the conference submission system supplied from Microsoft® CMT on www.edusref.org. Each submission to the conference system will go through a review process, and the notification of the accepted papers will be announced in two weeks.

    In order to make the productions of the conference efficient, the authors are expected to answer this question “What are the implications based on the results of study for potential education reforms? “ in the conclusion remarks in their study.

    Paper submission

    The submission of abstracts must be written in English, be original and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference, and also have details, at minimum. A paper presents ongoing or completed research and is presented in a paper session consisting of oral presentations and a discussion of papers. Before to submit your proposal into the conference management service please make sure that it covers the question/s driving the research to be reported; the theoretical and methodological perspectives taken; the data or evidence upon which the paper’s argument is founded; and any implications and/or reflections. In order to make the productions of the conference efficient, the authors are expected to answer this question “What are the implications based on the results of study for potential education reforms? “ in the conclusion remarks in their study.

    Duration of each paper presentation is maximum 15-20 minutes including presentations and questions. Presenters are encouraged to bring full papers to the session. In order to gain time, the presentations should be on a flash drive and loaded onto the lectern laptop prior to the starting of the session. If you have any other audio-visual needs please indicate what they are now and we will try to accommodate them.

    Important notice: To make this small conference efficient, when the capacity of two day programme ends, the abstract submission system can be closed before the deadline comes.

    Poster submission

    The abstract proposal should illustrate the research methods and outcomes with an academic focus. Posters must be prepared for the Conference in A0 portrait (84.1 cm wide × 118.9 cm high).

    Peer review: Both the abstracts submitted for oral and poster presentations will be selected through based on peer-review process by conference submission system.

    Publication

    Abstract Proceedings

    All the accepted abstracts of registered presenters will be published and delivered to the registered participants at the conference desk. Before starting the conference date it will be also uploaded to the conference website so the abstracts can be read by participants in advance of the conference itself in order to maximize discussion time. The abstract proceedings will be archived on https://archive.org/

    Journal

    Full papers presented at the conference and submitted until 15 May 2018 will be published in the Education Reform Journal (www.erjournal.org), as passed the peer review.

    e-book

    Full papers presented at the conference and submitted edusrefatoutlook.com until 15 May 2018 will be published in the e-book, after the editorial processes completed.

    Conference registration*: 100 Euro / 400 TL 150 Euro / 600 TL

    Additional paper**: 50 Euro / 200 TL 75 Euro / 300 TL

    * A Concessionary fee for those who are doctoral students that do not work in an institution may be available within limited capacity.

    **Additional papers can be assigned as poster paper due to conference capacity for two day. The confirmation of these authors will be asked for this situation

    Information about how to pay the conference fee will be sent to authors of accepted submissions.

    Included in the registration fee

    Admission to the full conference programme, presentation of one paper, conference publication services (abstract proceedings, accepted full paper publication in the journal or e-book, coffee breaks and lunch breaks).

    • One registration fee covers one presentation that will be presented at the conference.

    • At least one author of the paper multiple authors must attend the conference to present the paper.

    • In a paper with more than one author, all the authors attending the conference must complete their registration individually.

    • Given the nature and scale of the conference, only authors of accepted proposals will be able to register as participants.

    • Refund is only possible till 20 days before from the conference starting date, and you will get your refund after one week later from the conference finishing date.

    Invitation letter for Visa

    The presenters who need official letter of invitation in order to obtain a visa are kindly asked to contact the conference secretariat at edusrefatoutlook.com . The official letters of invitation can only be sent to individuals who have registered and paid the registration fee for the conference.
