    The International Research Symposium on Pure and Applied Sciences (IRSPAS) is to be conducted to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya under the theme “Towards New Paradigms in Scientific Research”. The abstracts will call relevant to the theme and presentations to be conducted under four technical sessions; Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Software Intensive Systems and Multidisciplinary Research.

    This international symposium is organized in an interdisciplinary manner in order to allow the participants to explore the current trends in their areas of research as well as to provide opportunities for researchers in different disciplines to engage with the professionals from industry. We are encouraging the foreign participants to submit abstracts and will be facilitating them to present via Skype. The submitted abstracts will be reviewed using a double blind review process by independent reviewers, who are eminent academic professionals in the relevant fields. Selected abstracts will be considered for publication in Journal of Science, University of Kelaniya.
