Cyber Security is becoming increasingly important in today's networked world and is impacting every aspect of society including finance, healthcare, government, education, arts and entertainment. Some of the recent cyber attacks on businesses, financial institutions and government agencies has left entire nations vulnerable and has highlighted the urgent need to protect critical infrastructure. The objective of this workshop is to give the participants an awareness of the threats and vulnerabilities that exist in today's cyber world. The workshop will teach the basic principles of cyber security with the perspective of providing security awareness and its best practices for the real world. It will highlight some of the tools and techniques used by adversaries to gather information and launch intrusions and discuss what we can do to protect ourselves against cyber attacks.
