    Call For Papers - CFP

    CALL FOR VIDEO DEMONSTRATIONS p/>

The 2021 edition of Kaleidoscope includes a Demonstration Track for video contributions relevant to the development of persistent virtual realities, customized computer-generated environments and immersive experiences in many areas. This track is indented to offer students, academics and researchers a means to share their research and ongoing projects to a wider international audience, using on-line tools.

The demonstrations are expected to focus on applied research related to the topics of K-2021. The subject may range from early research prototypes to mature production-ready systems.

    Selection process

Selection of the demonstrations will be done in a two-step process. First, candidates should describe what they intend to show in an extended abstract (1 page, including references). Abstracts must be in English and include the authors' names and affiliations. They should also conform to the K-2021 official templates and be submitted in PDF format to the ITU Kaleidoscope Secretariat (kaleidoscopeatitu.int). The proposals will be evaluated by the K-2021 Steering Committee according to their relevance to the K-2021 theme, clarity, originality, innovation, applicability, and potential impact on people's lives. If the proposal is accepted, authors are requested to submit a video (max 3 minutes) of the demonstration for final evaluation by the K-2020 Steering Committee.

    Presentation

Selected demonstration videos will be posted on the conference website. During the course of the conference, a Q&A session with the authors will be organized. Details will follow.

The various demonstrations will be evaluated by the Steering Committee of Kaleidoscope 2021. A certificate of Best Video Demonstration Award will be given to the demonstration with the highest vote.
