Introduction

2014 International Symposium on Smart Sensors and Information Engineering (ISSSIE 2014) will be held on August 16-17, 2014 in Dalian, China.

Dalian is the second largest city in Liaoning Province, China and the largest port in northern China as well as a major destination for Chinese tourists. Located at the southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula, the main part of the city is on its own sub peninsula, with the port to the north of the town Centre and natural coastline dotted with beaches to the east and south. Dalian is a trading and financial center in northeastern Asia and has gained the name the ‘Hong Kong of Northern China’.

The ISSSIE 2014 will be the most comprehensive conference focused on the various aspects of advances in Smart Sensors and Information Engineering.

The aim of this conference is to provide a worldwide forum, where the international participants can share their research knowledge and ideas on the recent and latest research on Smart Sensors and Information Engineering, and map out the directions for future researchers and collaborations. Researchers and graduate students are welcomed to participate in the conference to exchange research findings in the frontier areas of Smart Sensors and Information Engineering.

The ISSSIE 2014 conference proceeding will proudly published by ATLANTIS PRESS (together with ICAICTE 2014), which will be submitted for indexing to Thomson ISI (ISTP, CPCI, Web of Science), Google Scholar, Scopus (by Elsevier) and EI/Compendex. The last conference ICAICTE 2013 was held in Hainan, China successfully. The proceedings of ICAICTE 2013 has been included in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index ? Science (ISI Web of Science) and Google Scholar.

Selected excellent papers will be published on reputation EI/SCI journal.
