We are glad to invite you to the International Scientific Conference “Environmental and Climate Technologies” which will be held on 14-16 October 2014 in Riga, Latvia. The Conference has been envisaged as a regular scientific forum and its main aim is to acquaint researchers with achievements in the area of energy systems and environmental engineering and to give the scientists, especially PhD students, an opportunity to publish the results of their research.Topic of Interest for the year 2014: “Bioeconomy as a link to sustainable environment technologies”A transition is needed towards an optimal use of renewable biological resources. The world must move towards sustainable primary production and processing systems that can produce more food, fiber and other bio-based products with fewer inputs, less environmental impact and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. The conference will cover fallowing subsections:? Novel sources of biomass and bio-products? Marine and fresh-water biotechnology? Industrial biotechnology? Bio-refinery? Environmental biotechnology? Emerging trends in biotechnologyBest submitted articles will be published in the international scientific journal of RTU "Environmental and Climate Technologies". The print version of the journal is published by RTU Press and the electronic version by Versita.
