    Professionals are under more stress than ever evidenced by increases in demand for better services that are more efficient and thorough, higher costs, reduced staffing, and diminishing resources. Many workers are putting in longer hours and for less pay. From working overtime to simply burning the midnight oil catching up on paperwork, work industry puts a great deal of stress and fatigue on the average worker and their relationships, including family. Many professionals bear witness to workplace challenges that range from troublesome to traumatic. As a result, high stress and burnout are major hazards of any profession.

    This seminar focuses on understanding each of these challenges. In addition to defining and comparing these conditions, specific triggers will be explored. Participants will gain awareness of key signs and symptoms of stress and burnout, while learning how to manage stressors and their consequences. Specific attention will be given to physical, emotional/mental and behavioral symptoms.

    Awareness training is a key component to the seminar. Underlying beliefs about stress are explored and other general signs and symptoms of burnout are explained.

    Strategies for management and prevention are shared, including mindfulness training and behaviors that can help reduce the frequency, duration and intensity of high stress and prevent burnout. Participants will have an opportunity to create their own individualized management and prevention plans.

    Integrative Resilience Theory is a new and highly effective platform from which to build, change and grow individuals, teams, and entire organizations. A daily mindful "human technology" as well as a philosophy for approaching stress management and preventing burnout, its value is immeasurable. Through understanding the role of stress, personal and relational conflict, and overall adversity, participants in this training will experience increased awareness while learning strategies toward improved workplace relationships, productivity, and morale. In addition, workers benefitting from these strategies will experience a more valuable experience in work/life balance.

    Part one of the training focuses on the overall theory of Integrative Resilience. Participants will learn about its etiology, including major influencers of the development of this idea. A comparison to other ideas will show how it is similar to and different from other stress management burnout prevention theories. Finally, examples are shared showing how Integrative Resilience Theory fits in the modern workplace environment.

    In the second segment, participants will move into the role of stress and adversity at work, and what challenges each provides to individuals, work groups, and companies/organizations. Internal and external triggers are explored with regard to stressors, how they are mismanaged and what can be done to implement resilience concepts discussed in the previous segment of the training.

    Two highly relevant areas of stress and adversity are covered in the third segment. Numerous scholarly studies, particularly in the field of healthcare and other service professions note that burnout among workers is increasing at alarming rates. Additionally, workplace and relationship conflict and are highly researched areas and worthy of discussion when it comes to applied Integrative Resilience. In this segment, participants will explore how conflict and burnout lead to imbalance and what can be done to better manage workers/employees through the Integrative Resilience model.

    In the final segment of the training, participants will learn applied strategies for creating standout individualism and remarkable teamwork using a work/life balance model that uniquely fits individual company values and workplace structure. Optimal balance of teamwork and individual effort is explored through seeking opportunity to ignite both aspects in the workplace!

    Participants will develop their own original stress management and burnout prevention program that can be implemented in their specific workplace environment, using The Integrative Resilience Model, inclusive of unique strategies and tools for further building and growing a healthy business/organization.
