    Call For Papers - CFP

We are pleased to announce that the second meeting of the IMS meeting series, IMS-APRM (IMS Asia Pacific Rim Meetings), will take place in Omiya, Japan, during the period July 3 ? July 6, 2011. The first meeting, held in Seoul, Korea in 2009, was successful. It provided an excellent forum for scientific communications and collaborations for the researchers in Asia and Pacific Rim, and also promoted communications and collaborations between the researchers in this area and those from other parts of the world. The second meeting will continue and extend the accomplishment of the first meeting, and will add a significant value to our continuous efforts to carry out our common mission in statistical profession.

The program covers a wide range of topics in statistics and probability, presenting recent developments and the state of the art in a variety of modern research topics and in applications. The program includes two Plenary Lectures presented by world-renowned scientists in statistics and probability, fifteen Distinguished Lectures delivered by leading specialists, forty-five Invited Paper Sessions and a large number of contributed talks and posters.

The venue of the meeting is a modern international conference facility in the city of Omiya. Omiya is less than 30 minutes away from some

major terminal stations in Tokyo by frequent commuter trains. Omiya itself is a large city with vibrant economic activities and some unique local cultural tradition. Or, you can just take a train to various places in Tokyo. Like Seoul, Tokyo is a dynamic city that never sleeps. On behalf of the Local Organizing and Scientific Program Committees we are glad to invite you to come to Omiya, Japan. It will be an unforgettable scientific and touristic visit.

Akimichi Takemura, Chair of the Local Organizing Committee

Byeong U. Park and Runze Li, Co-Chairs of the Scientific Program Committee
