Call For Papers - CFP
Human computer interaction (HCI) lies at the crossroads of many scientific areas including artificial intelligence, computer vision, face recognition, motion tracking, etc. In order for HCI systems to interact seamlessly with people, they will need to understand their environment through vision and auditory input. Moreover, HCI systems should learn how to adaptively respond depending on the situation. Recently, more efforts are paid towards human-centered computing approaches in general and ambient intelligence and sensor networks, social signals analysis, smart environments, in particular. In all these areas computer vision plays an essential part and we are going to cover the new developments in these research directions. The goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers from the field of computer vision whose work is related to human computer interaction. We are soliciting original contributions that address a wide range of theoretical and application issues in human computer interaction for computer vision applications.Workshop Co-ChairsHamid Aghajan, Stanford University, USA (aghajanstanford.edu)Thomas S. Huang, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA (huangifp.uiuc.edu)Nicu Sebe, University of Trento, Italy (sebedisi.unitn.it)Caifeng Shan, Philips Research, The Netherlands (caifeng.shanphilips.com)Paper SubmissionThe manuscripts should be submitted as PDF files and should be no more than 8 pages in the ICCV paper format.HICI reviewing is double blind. Reviewing will be by members of the program committee. Each paper will receive at least two reviews. Acceptance will be based on relevance to the workshop, novelty, and technical quality.
