The aim of the workshopThe main aim of the INTEL-EDU series of workshops is to provide an international platform for the presentation of research on intelligent educational systems theory, development of advanced tools and technologies, and their innovative applications.The 2nd workshop INTEL-EDU 2011 continues the workshop held in Riga in 2009 in conjunction with 13th East-European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems (ADBIS 2009).We invite researchers and practitioners from both industry and academia to submit original results of their completed or ongoing research and projects.Workshop topicsinclude, but are not limited to:* Innovative Adaptive and Intuitive Systems for Learning and Teaching* Artificial Intelligence, Modelling and Internet Based Tutoring Systems* Teaching and Training Skills for Knowledge Based Society in 21st century* Revolutionary Learning Appliances and Advanced Cognitive Tutors* Managing and Organizing E-Learning Systems* Advanced Tools and Technologies (collaborative learning environments, shared online video etc.)* Web 2.0 and Social Networking* Virtual and Distance Education and Training* Mobile Teaching and Learning Technologies* Open Education* Technologies for Socially Responsive Learning* Accreditation and Quality Standards in Informatics* Show cases of Intelligent Systems Applications.Paper Submission and ProceedingsSubmissions to INTEL-EDU 2011 have to be made by using the submission systems EasyChair.Each paper will be reviewed by at least two workshop Programme Committee members.Papers accepted for publication will be published in proceedings of INTEL-EDU 2011 workshop as a part of BIR2011 workshops proceedings with ISBN. Best papers will be published by Springer as part of the BIR 2011 post-conference workshops proceedings in Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP) series.Papers submitted need to follow LNBIP formatting guidelines: available from: http://www.springer.com/computer+science/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-791344-0Papers shall not have more than 8 pages (including figures, tables and appendices).
