Fourth International Workshop on Disaster and Emergency Information Network Systems (IWDENS'2012)conjunction with 26th IEEE International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications(AINA2012)Fukuoka, Japan, 26-29 March 2012AINA2012On March 11, 2011, a massive 9.1 magnitude earthquake hit the Pacific Ocean nearby Northeastern Japan causing serious damage with blackouts, fire, tsunami and nuclear plant crisis. Recorded as 9.1 on the Richter scale, it was the most powerful quake ever to hit Japan. Therefore, there are still many subjects to be reconstructed from the disaster. In this workshop, it is pleased to have many researchers and technical experts, and to make a lot of discussions whether about disaster or relative studies.SCOPEFourth International Workshop on Disaster and Emergency Information Network Systems (IWDENS’2012) will be held in Fukuoka, Japan, 26-29 March 2012. The workshop covers network design and implementation and application systems for large scale national disasters such as earth quick, mountain explosion, seismic sea wave in addition to ordinal disasters, such as typhoon, rain flooding and snow-slide. Not only technological aspects by researchers but actual experience by governmental officers or volunteers for Disasters are also welcome.
