    WELCOME TO IWSEC2008

    Following the success of past workshops in this series, ISEC and CSEC

    are delighted to host the Third International Workshop on Security,

    IWSEC2008, on November 25-27, 2008, in Kagawa, Japan.

    The complex structure of networks, middleware, agents, P2P

    applications and ubiquitous computing for commercial, personal,

    communal and public use, brought forth the advent of information

    society in the cyberspace. However the system poses new and diverse

    threats to the world. It is imperative for the security researchers

    to look into the issues from an interdisciplinary perspective.

    The aim of IWSEC2008 is to contribute to security research and

    development addressing the topics?from traditional theory and tools

    on security to up-to-date issues.

    KAGAWA

    The organizers are most pleased to host the conference in the city

    of Takamatsu, Kagawa. Takamatsu was founded in the late 16th century

    as a castle town and is also known as Marine capital of the Seto.

    There are many beautiful places to visit such as the ruins of

    Takamatsu Castle in "Tamamo park" and "Ritsurin-koen Garden" which

    is considered one of Japan's finest garden.
