Welcome to the website of the 2012 International Conference on Human-centric Computing(HumanCom2012), to be held in Gwangju, Korea from September 6 to 8 2012.The theme of HumanCom is focused on the various aspects of human-centric computing for advances incomputer science and its applications and provides an opportunity for academic and industry professionalsto discuss the latest issues and progress in the area of human-centric computing.In addition, the conference will publish high quality papers which are closely related to the varioustheories and practical applications in human-centric computing. Furthermore, we expect that theconference and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvementsin this important subject.The venue of HumanCom 2012, Gwangju, is an active metropolis, which forms a connecting point between mountains to the east and plains to the west. The low mountains surrounding Gwangju are ancient,having been worn down to hills. The east-west Noryeong mountain range divides the north and south partsof Jeolla province. And this city has long been regarded as a city rich in culture and the arts.It has produced numerous scholars renowned for their scholarship and virtue. Gwangju is also where the Southern School of Chinese Painting, or Namjonghwa, as well as pansori, a traditional Korean singing genre, originated.We look forward to seeing you in HumanCom 2012 in Gwangju, and do check out our website often for important updates.
