    The evolution of the Information Society includes aspects related to intelligent human behavior, such as perception, communication, reasoning, learning, evolution, adaptation, autonomy, social interaction and pro-activity. However, the dynamic world of today these features has become a requirement in almost all social systems. Over time these systems evolve given the rapid technological development, and social systems are increasingly intelligent feasible, as they participate in our daily lives.

    This workshop is aimed at building a proper forum for the discussion of many aspects of the creation and development of intelligent information and communication systems, both from a theoretical and practical exemplification of the possible applications and case studies in cities or rural areas. We intend to bring together the scientific community, industry and society for interdisciplinary discussion on the state of the art and architecture models and paradigms and boundaries that encourage the advancement of information society in the spaces urban and rural areas. Areas such as communication, artificial intelligence, web science, regional development, theories and models of economic and social sciences, the knowledge representation and engineering, information infrastructure and distributed intelligent systems and web society are some of the areas to be explored and deepened in this workshop.

    Let's try social technology with its great potential for application in different areas of expertise and sectors of society, so it is very important multidisciplinary development, with the collaboration of many different areas, not just the humanities and social sciences, but also engineering, computer science and computer
