Call For Papers - CFP
6th International Conference on Information Technology : New Generations (ITNG 2009)Sensor Networks TrackApril 27-29, 2009, Las Vegas, Nevada, USAhttp://www.cnrl.colostate.edu/itng2009/THEME:Advances in sensor technology, networking and distributed processing areleading to the emergence of a global sensing infrastructure. Networkedsensor-actuator systems include a) dense collections of power limited, smart, self-configuring wireless sensors and actuators, b) microphonesand cameras forming surveillance networks, and c) networks of complexsensors such as weather radars or telescopes. Many applications areemerging that have the potential to revolutionize the way the physicalworld around us is instrumented, monitored and controlled.Original technical papers addressing different aspects of sensornetworks are solicited for presentation at the conference andpublication in conference proceedings (to be available in print and viaIEEE XPlore.)Topics include but are not limited to following:Applications and deployments/ case studiesSensorsSensor nodes - architecture, hardwareWireless sensor networksWired sensor networksRFIDs and their applicationsProtocols and standardsAlgorithms for sensor networksData fusion in sensor networksResource managementModeling and performanceComplexity and analysisSoftware platforms and middlewareTools and techniques for design, deployment, testing and evaluationFault tolerance in sensor networksSecurity and authenticationPAPER SUBMISSION:Papers should be original and contain contributions of theoretical orexperimental nature, or be unique experience reports. Interested authorsshould submit the full paper, not exceeding 6-page summary of theiroriginal and unpublished work including 5 keywords. Papers are to besubmitted electronically.* Paper submission and formating instructions* Submit your paper Electronically. For additional information please contactAnura.Jayasumanacolostate.edu . In the subject line please use ITNG 2009.EVALUATION PROCESS:Per ITNG policy, except for invited papers, all papers will be reviewedby at least two independent reviewers.Papers will be evaluated fororiginality, significance, clarity, and soundness. Accepted paperswill be included in the conference proceedings published by the IEEEComputer Society. Selected papers presented in the conference will beconsidered for publication in a special issue of an international journal.BEST STUDENT PAPER:The Best Student Paper will be awarded at the conference. To beeligible, the student must be the sole author of the paper, or the firstauthor and primary contributor. (The winner of the award will presentthe paper in a plenary session at the conference). A cover letter to theGeneral Chair/Track Chair must identify the paper as a candidate forthis competition at the time of submission.DEADLINES:Registration : November 7, 2008Submission: November 14, 2008Author Notification: December 19, 2008Camera Ready (6 pages): January 11, 2009http://www.cnrl.colostate.edu/itng2009/Anura P.
