Security has emerged as animportant scientific discipline whose many multifaceted complexitiesdeserve the attention and synergy of the mathematical, computerscience and engineering communities.After the previous meetings held in Montreal, Grenoble, Toronto andParis, this fifth edition of the FPS symposium will be held at ETS(Ecole de Technologie Superieure), in Montreal (QC, Canada), the 25thand 26th of October of 2012.The aim of this event is to discuss and exchange theoretical andpractical ideas that address security issues in inter-connectedsystems. It aims to provide scientific presentations as well as toestablish links, promote scientific collaboration, joint researchprograms, and student exchanges between institutions involved in thisimportant and fast moving research field.Topics: we invite papers from researchers and practitioners working insecurity, privacy, trustworthy data systems and related areas tosubmit their original papers. Committee members arenot required to read the appendices, so the paper should beintelligible without them.All submissions must be written in English. All papers will berefereed. The submitted contribution should be formatted according toSpringer's LNCS style. Submissions by PhD students as well as surveysand controversial ideas are encouraged.
