AMR 2012 *10th International Workshop on Adaptive Multimedia Retrieval **10 Years of Research in Adaptive Multimedia Retrieval *- State-of-the-Art and Current Trends - *October 24-25, 2012 - Copenhagen, DenmarkRoyal School of Library and Information Sciencehttp://amr.dke-research.de/amr2012/The Adaptive Multimedia Retrieval workshop aims to bring togetherresearchers, practitioners and companies with focus on existing andnovel techniques into the field of multimedia retrieval. We promote theidea of having a separate event for focusing to the specificities of theadaptivity challenge. The goal of this workshop is therefore tointensify the exchange of ideas, to provide an overview of currentactivities in this area and to point out connections between multimediaretrieval, machine learning and artificial intelligence. This 10th anniversary workshop of the series is dedicated to review thedevelopments in the field over the last years. Hence, we welcomeespecially contributions that will review recent research and currenttrends in this field.Topics of interest:This yearâ??s workshop focuses on start-of-the-art and visionarycontributions in multimedia retrieval. However, we also welcome positionpapers and recent work in this field. The topics are:â?¢ Multimedia retrieval systems (text, image, audio, video & mixed-media)â?¢ Theoretical foundations of multimedia retrieval and miningâ?¢ Intelligent multimedia data modeling, indexing & structure extractionâ?¢ Adaptive hypermedia and web based systemsâ?¢ Metadata for multimedia retrievalâ?¢ Multimedia and multi-modal miningâ?¢ Semantic content analysis for multimediaâ?¢ Semantic web and ontologiesâ?¢ Multimedia interactionâ?¢ Affect detection for multimedia contentâ?¢ Soft computing in multimedia information retrievalâ?¢ Adaptive query languagesâ?¢ Similarity measures (especially user adaptive measures)â?¢ User and preference modeling (including feedback models)â?¢ Methods for adaptive data visualization and user interfacesImportant Dates:July 29, 2012 Deadline for abstract submissionAugust 12, 2012 Deadline for paper submissionSeptember 3, 2012 Notification of acceptance/rejectionOctober 3, 2012 Deadline for final paper submissionOctober 3, 2012 Early registration deadlineSubmissions:Papers should have about 10 pages but must not exceed 15 pages andshould be submitted electronically in PDF format athttp://amr.dke-research.de.
