It is our great pleasure to announce that the 3rd International Conference on Intelligent & Advanced Systems (ICIAS 2010) will be held from June 15 to June 17, 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ICIAS2010 is organized by the Electrical & Electronic Engineering Department of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). It has the IEEE Malaysia Power Electronics, Industrial Electronics & Industrial Applications Joint Chapter as technical co-sponsors. This conference is the continuation of ICIAS2007 which successfully brought together a cross-disciplinary assembly of worldwide participants and showcased more than 300 papers.

The main aim of the conference is to bring together theorists and practitioners from academia and industry to present and discuss their research and developmental activities related to intelligent and advanced systems. The conference will provide opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas and application experiences, to establish research or business relations, and to find global partners for future collaboration.

The conference will include a technical program consisting of several invited papers on important and timely topics from well-known leaders in the field, and parallel tracks of oral and poster presentation sessions of the accepted papers.

Prospective authors are invited to submit A4-sized full papers of four (4) to six (6) pages describing original, previously unpublished and complete work, addressing state-of-the-art research and development in the above areas. Guidelines for online submission and other information are available at the conference website http://www.utp.edu.my/icias2010 .

Authors of accepted papers must guarantee that they will be there to present the papers at the conference. At least one author of each accepted paper must be registered for the conference, for that paper to appear in the proceedings and be scheduled for presentation. All accepted papers will be archived in IEEExplore database. The following are important dates pertinent to the conference:

Open for Full Paper Submission: July 15, 2009

Full Paper Submission Deadline: December 31, 2009

Notification of Acceptance: February 15, 2010

Revised Paper Submission: March 2, 2010

Early-Bird Registration Deadline: April 14, 2010

Late Registration Deadline: May 15, 2010
