    After the very successful previous issues WasteEng05 (Albi, France) and WasteEng08 (Patras, Greece), I am pleased to invite you to participate to the WasteEng10: 3rd International Conference on Engineering for Waste and Biomass Valorisation to be held in Beijing, China, May 17-19, 2010. This issue of the WasteEng Conference Series (http://www.wasteeng.org), as usual, is a great platform for the world scientists and industries in the environmental and energy sector to meet together to share ideas and experiences on their recent works and new perspectives in this regard. This century, the environmental and energy issues are of vital importance for the world sustainable development. In this conference, there will be a forum to discuss a variety of topics and present progress of scientific researches. The conference will include discussions on the Valorisation of Waste (municipal, industrial, agricultural, electronic, plastics, construction and demolition...) to Energy(ethanol, hydrogen, biogas, biofuel, RDF, pyrolysis products) and useful Materials ( raw, secondary and recycled materials). This third issue of the WasteEng Conference will also emphasis on the valorisation of Wastewater for which a special session will be organized. Experience from developing Countries will be particularly welcomed. The Social Programme will also be be scheduled, offering ample opportunities to renew standing friendships and forge new ones from all around the world. In addition, Beijing is an ancient city renowned for its long history and rich culture. The city has been built for over 3000 years and has become China's capital for over 850 years. The varieties of the delicious Chinese food, the splendor of the world cultural heritages including the great wall, the Summer Palace, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, together with the marvelous modern\"Nestle\"sports stadium, the \"Water Cube\" national swimming centre, the national grand theatre, all these will make this conference a great attraction to all the participants and their families.
