International Workshop on Wireless Sensor Networks and their ApplicationsIn conjunction withThe Fourth International Conference on Networked Digital Technologies (NDT 2012)April 24-26, 2012DubaiWorkshop Aim and ScopeThe main objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers and technologists to present new and innovative research results in wireless sensor networks “WSNs” and their applications. There have been tremendous technological advances in the development of low-cost sensor devices equipped with wireless network interfaces. The design of large-scale sensor networks interconnecting several hundred to a few thousand sensor nodes has attracted considerable research attention. WSNs find applications spanning several domains including military, medical, industrial, and home networks. Some of the key challenges deal with the scalability of WSN communication and routing protocols to large number of nodes, design of simple and efficient protocols for different network operations, design of power-conserving protocols, design of data handling techniques including data gathering, data fusion and data dissemination, and development of exciting new applications that exploit the potential of WSNs.Areas of InterestThe workshop program invites papers on various topics of interest to this Workshop including but not limited to:Applications of WSNsCommunications and routing protocols for WSNSynchronization and localization for WSNsEmbedded signal processing for WSNsData gathering in WSNsQuerying and logging data in WSNsMiddleware design for WSNsEnergy harvesting techniques for WSNsMobility management in WSNsSecurity issues in WSNsImportant DatesPaper Submission Deadline: December 31, 2011Paper Acceptance Notification: January 31, 2012Camera-ready Paper Submissions: February 25, 2012Submission InstructionsSubmitted paper should not exceed 15 pages, including illustrations. Papers should be submitted electronically as MS word. All papers will be fully refereed by a minimum of two specialized referees. Before final acceptance, all referees' comments must be considered.
