    CALL FOR PAPERS

3rd International Conference on Context-Aware Systems and Applications

15-16 October, 2014, American University in Dubai, UAE

    Past editions: 2013 - 2012

    SCOPE

Context aware systems CSA have been an active research area for the last decade. The main feature of CAS is their ability to respond to different environments, so they are proactive systems. The optimum CAS is the human brain which makes it a target for researchers to come up with systems that have close to human brain capabilities. The research and development in CAS have multi-disciplinary dimensions, so ICCASA 2014 expects contributions from different disciplines that will enrich the discussions in the conference. Contributors from Engineering, Science, Social, business, and medical disciplines are expected.

ICCASA 2014 will bring together researchers, developers, and industry professionals to discuss recent advances and experiences in context aware systems. The conference will present recent advances, experiences and results in the challenging field of intelligent systems with the focus on the interaction with their surroundings.

    HIGHLIGHTS

? All accepted papers will be published by Springer and made available through SpringerLink Digital Library, one of the world's largest

    WORKSHOP PROPOSALS

The ICCASA 2014 conference caters for a limited number of workshops on dedicated session topics. The conference general chair will decide of how many workshops to be accepted based on the topics and the organizers experience.

A proposal to organize a workshop should include the following information: (1) the title of the workshop, (2) name, affiliation and biographies of the organizer, (3) an abstract of no more than one page describing the aims of the workshop and the motivation for holding it and participating to it (target audience), (4) a workshop chair and a tentative list of participants / speakers, (5) the expected duration of the workshop, (6) a draft CFP of the workshop. Workshop sessions are expected to last 90-120 minutes, but a workshop may comprise multiple sessions. For submission instructions, please click here.

    PAPER SUBMISSION

Papers should be no more than 10 pages in length. Complete formatting and submission instructions can be found on the conference web site. Submissions will be reviewed anonymously by at least three expert reviewers.

Papers will be judged on originality, correctness, clarity and relevance. Submitted papers must be original work, and may not be under consideration for another conference or journal.

Submission of the paper implies agreement of the author(s) to attend the conference and present the paper if accepted. For additional information see the registration information page.

    PUBLICATION

Accepted papers will be published in the ICCASA 2014 Conference Proceedings and by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST). The proceedings will be available both in book form and via the SpringerLink digital library, which is one of the largest digital libraries online and covers a variety of scientific disciplines. LNICST volumes are submitted for inclusion to leading indexing services, including DBLP, Google Scholar, ACM Digital Library, ISI Proceedings, EI Engineering Index, CrossRef, Scopus and Zentralblatt Math, as well as ICST's own EU Digital Library (EUDL). Selected papers may be invited to publish in the EAI endorsed Transactions on Ambient Systems. ACM is also sought for publication.
