The 13th edition of the ”Culture and Computer Science“ conference series brings into focus best practice examples, challenges and future trends in the fields of media integration, cross media technologies, modelling, visualisation and interaction. The conference targets cultural policy makers, employees of cultural and creative industries, communication scientists, cultural and artistic actors as well as computer scientists and engineers, who conduct research and development on cultural topics.The presentations will discuss the following key topics:Cross Media technology;Best practice Cross Media examples;Interdependence between culture and computer science;Influence of art and culture on future developments;The media-compatible treatment and enhancement of information; Intuitive usage of media systems;Ethics in culture and computer science.These items shall primarily be analysed, demonstrated and discussed through best practice examples for cultural and creative industries.Further Key Aspects of the ConferenceCross Media tools and applications;Digitalisation in the cultural and creative industries;Visualisation and interaction technologies;Systems of modelling, information, visualisation and communication in urban spaces;Interactive multimedia solutions for museums, theatres, concert halls, exhibitions etc.;Interactive systems in cultural and creative industries;Municipal and touristic information systems;Digital exhibitions, science centres, museums and galleries;Virtual reconstructions;Augmented reality;Media architecture, digital extension of buildings and urban districts;Navigation systems;Position- and context-sensitive services;Documentation, visualisation and interaction in museums and archives;Digital storytelling;Multimedia guides;Social and ethical issues in computer science;Ethical issues concerning the use of virtual and augmented reality.Submission Deadline: January 20th, 2015Proposals for full and short presentations can be submitted in English language before January 20th, 2015.Abstracts (1?2 page, DIN A4) must contain title, author(s), and the scope of the paper, emphasise on new advances, theories and/or applications, and include a short analysis of results and findings. Please note that longer abstracts will not be admitted to the review process. If you feel that your work cannot be presented sufficiently on two pages, just add links to your project, university or company website.
