    (Thessaloniki, Greece; October 1st - 4th, 2015)

In light of changing religious demographic trends in a constantly globalizing world, interfaith dialogue has become essential in promoting mutual understanding and tolerance amongst peoples across the globe. The Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy and Religion will extend the olive branch and discover the potential for the role of inter-faith dialogue in peacebuilding and reconciliation.

The ICD recognizes this a pivotal tool in uniting religious and ethnic groups to work towards attaining and sustaining global peace and stability and therefore initiated this event. The Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy & Religion will aim to foster mutual understanding through interfaith dialogue in the spirit of securing a more peaceful and stable world. This momentous occasion will spotlight the significance of religious exchange through open dialogue and peaceful accord in the hopes of finding a common ground that unites rather than unbinds the world religions.

In reimagining the role of religion as a tool for global peace and stability, the Symposium will see speakers from various disciplines - religious leaders, leading politicians, chief diplomats, and senior academics. These speakers will engage in discussions where the opportunity to hear their various impressions and thoughts on the issues and the strategies they think are viable to resolve systemic problems in order to achieve lasting peace will be presented. Bearing their perspectives in mind, we can then conceive a proposal that is both feasible and practical, with our collective recommendations on the means of securing the Symposium objectives.
