    Call For Papers - CFP

What is biodiversity conservation? Who’s involved? What do they do? How does biodiversity conservation fit into other big picture goals like sustainable development? What exactly is sustainable development? We would like to find answers for these questions through TIIKM’s 1st Annual international Conference on Biodiversity. This Conference takes a closer look at biodiversity conservation and how it fits within the larger concept of sustainable development. This conference launched with the theme of “Future of Biodiversity Conservation within the Sustainable development Goals” Our main objective is put Biodiversity related issues on the table to encourage related bodies to take necessary actions and to increase the awareness among the world.

Sustainable human development is about living on Earth without taking more than can be naturally replaced. It is about good health, good living conditions and long-term wealth creation for everybody. All these things must occur within the carrying capacity of the planet. To understand sustainable development, the three pillars: “economic wealth”, “social equity” and “environmental health” need to be linked to each other. In other words, any development has to be not only economically sound but also beneficial to social equity and environmentally acceptable.

Tourism is directly dependent on and affects Biodiversity. Tourism is a measurement tool of every country’s economy. These three factors Biodiversity, Economy and Tourism are also thus linked together and will be a major contributing factor for sustainable development, where tourism is an industry. Thus the government has to have a better plan for biodiversity conservation, while promoting tourism.
