    CALL FOR PAPERS

    SCOPE

    The 1st International Conference on “Future Internet ? Infrastructures and Enablers” (FINE2016) will be held under the EAI International Conference on Future Internet and Internet of Things Applications. FINE 2016 aims at progressing and advancing on topics of high relevance with Future Internet’s impact on technology, governance, and innovation. It focuses on the contribution and role of Future Internet on the current and emerging infrastructures which largely impact shaping of cities, communities, and governance. FINE 2016 builds on the fact that Future Internet testbeds and their flourishing Future Internet enablers have radically changed the ways of interacting, living and socializing. FINE 2016 aims at offering the ground at which scientific and technical discussion will progress among technology stakeholders, academia, governance and the society on all open and emerging issues with respect to Future Internet infrastructures and enablers which radically empower to deliver services and applications able to disrupt, transform and innovate.

    TOPICS

    FINE 2016 invites research papers presenting new results and highlighting on Future Internet concepts which touch cross-disciplinary topics and focus on challenging and provoking ideas. Its main objective is to allow an open and productive dialogue among all disciplines relevant which the Future Internet as a technical and active system which evolves driven by its infrastructural capacity and its applications enabling potential. Based on these goals, FINE 2016 welcomes all submissions that fall in these Future Internet (FI) domains and topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:

    We invite both research papers presenting new results, and extended abstracts with provoking ideas and work-in-progress, shedding light on Future Internet from all involved disciplines and especially papers crossing rigid disciplines boundaries.

    The conference will also host Workshops, industrial applications track, demos, and tutorials which will embrace and complete the main conference with blue-sky, disruptive and innovative ideas and practices.

    IMPORTANT DEADLINES

    January 15th 2016: Submissions of papers

    February 25th 2016: Notification of acceptance for papers

    March 25th 2016: Camera-ready version of papers

    PAPER SUBMISSION

    Submissions must represent original work and papers should have not been published or been under review elsewhere. All submitted papers must:

    be written in English and be submitted in PDF format;

    contain author names, affiliations, and email addresses;

    be formatted according to the Springer's LNICST format Proceedings template. Information about the Springer LNICST format can be found at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html;

    Three to five keywords characterizing the paper should be indicated at the end of the abstract;

    Paper submissions should accomplish the following extensions (including all text, figures, references and appendices);

    Full papers: 6 ? 12 pages

    Short papers: 2 ? 4 pages

    Submissions not conforming to the LNICST format, and exceeding the submission pages limits or being obviously out of the scope of the conference, will be rejected without review.

    PUBLICATION

    Accepted papers will be published in the FINE 2016 Conference Proceedings and by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST). The proceedings will be available both in book form and via the SpringerLink digital library, which is one of the largest digital libraries online and covers a variety of scientific disciplines.

    The proceedings are submitted for inclusion to the leading indexing services: DBLP, Google Scholar, Thomson Scientific ISI Proceedings, EI Elsevier Engineering Index, CrossRef, Scopus, as well as ICST's own EU Digital Library (EUDL).

    A special issue of ACM/Springer MONET will be allocated for selected papers of FINE 2016 Conference. In addition, recommended authors will be considered for inclusion in the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Future Internet.
