    This issue of Urban Planning will be dedicated to Sustainable Planning & Technologies. Authors are invited to contribute articles that embrace any of the following topics (but not limited to):

    - Methodological Topics: papers that focus on methodological explorations for analyzing and assessing urban sustainability, such as urban metabolism, urban ecosystem services, material and energy flow analysis, urban form and energy relationships;

    - Sustainable Planning: papers concerning topics such as land use planning, smart growth and urban design, urban transportation network efficiency, environmental site design, site assessment and selection, infill development, sustainable energy landscape, urban and regional energy systems, and integration of diverse community features;

    - Sustainable Building Technologies: innovative research in green technologies and building features, green buildings and green management for sustainable development, building renewable energy integrated systems, smart materials and technologies for building envelopes, efficient cooling technologies for the built environment, and smart and adaptive structures;

    - Design Topics: papers that advance diagnostic, analytical and projective capabilities for urban sustainability by design, such as sustainable urban design, sustainable infrastructure design, and sustainable housing and mixed use developments;

    - Best Practices: papers that document, analyze and interpret innovative best practices of sustainable urbanism, planning, technology and infrastructure solutions at different scales (local, city block, neighborhood, district, city or metropolitan/regional scale).

    Instructions for Authors: Authors interested in submitting a paper to this issue shall carefully read the Instructions for Authors and send their abstracts (approximately 200-250 words, with a tentative title) by email to the journal's editorial office (upatcogitatiopress.com). This journal has a publication fee for each accepted article, and authors are advised to check with their institutions which funds are available to cover open access publication costs.
