Dear participants, authors and colleagues,

We want to acknowledge the great many people who have already submitted their papers in advance. Thank you very much for your interest in this conference. We have received many requests to extend the deadline for submission of abstract/papers. As a result, the ICHUZ' 2017 Conference Committee has decided to extend the final deadline for the submission of abstract to 1st June 2017.

We hope this will give those who require it, additional time to finalise their proposals for this conference which will be held on 19th-20th September 2017. Abstract and full papers can be written in English or Bahasa Melayu. Hopefully, ICHUZ'2017 will give positive insights to the participants and open their minds to observe and understand the demand in performing Hajj, Umrah and Ziarah as well as addressing current issues, challenges and opportunities. Kindly take note of the conference key dates and venue below.

3. Registration : 15 April - 1 June 2017

The International Conference on Hajj, Umrah and Ziarah (ICHUZ'2017) with the theme "Managing Hajj, Umrah and Ziarah : Challenges and Opportunities in the New Millennium" is intended to gather academicians, industry players as well as contemporary scholars with the aim to broaden the understanding towards Hajj, Umrah and Ziarah; especially in addressing today's issues with regards to the priorities in Islamic aspects. The main objectives of the conference include as follows :

i) To discuss the main and current issues related to Hajj, Umrah and Islamic Tourism Industry

ii) To share the management affairs on Hajj, Umrah and Ziarah/Tourism in various aspects based on the findings of current studies

iii) To become a platform of discussions related to Hajj, Umrah and Islamic Tourism sector as well as benefiting the government in formulating long term action plan

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY :

Full papers presented at ICHUZ'2017 will be published in the conference proceedings with valid ISBN and 10 selected papers will be invited to publish in Journal of Borneo Akademika (Special Edition).

The following are the subthemes of ICHUZ'2017 (but not limited to):

- Any topics related to Hajj

- Any topics related to Umrah

- Any topics related to Ziarah/Tourism in compliance with shari'ah as well as conventional tourism
