Call for papers for the (RACT-5G-IoT 2018) Workshop on Recent Advances in Cellular Technologies and 5G for IoT Environments.In conjunction with ANT 2018 - The 9th International Conference on Ambient Systems, Networks and Technologies, May 8-11, 2018, Porto, Portugalhttp://cs-conferences.acadiau.ca/ant-18/#workshop_approvedhttps://ttu.ee/institutes/thomas-johann-seebeck-department-of-electronics/coel/events-20/wwwwww/ScopeThis international workshop invites researchers and practitioners to submit papers that deal with novel ideas, research results, practical implementations and early deployments addressing the numerous scientific and technological challenges in cellular technologies and 5G for IoT environments.Addressing such challenges in essential for making a wide range of applications a reality, including smart cities and nations, smart health and wearable wireless networks, public safety, emergency response, humanitarian technologies, industrial IoT, etc.Topics of interest include, but are not limited to,Resource allocation and interference management in IoTEnergy efficient solutions for IoT networksMAC protocols for future IoT networksGreen communication for IoT networksD2D communication within IoT networksMachine learning and analytics for IoT networksMixed licensed, unlicensed, and shared spectrum systems for IoT networksSelf-aware and self-adaptive network system and design for IoT networksAlgorithms, architectures, and implementation for smart sensing (data sensing) and edge computing in IoTPrototyping and deployment experienceSubmissionAll papers accepted for workshops will be included in the ANT 2018 proceedings, which will be published by Elsevier. The authors must follow Elsevier guidelines as given on the ANT 2018 website. The number of pages for workshop papers is limited to 6 pages.The submitted paper must be formatted according to the guidelines of Procedia Computer Science, MS Word Template, LaTeX, Template Generic, Elsevier.Authors should submit their contributions electronically in PDF format.The submission processes will be managed by easychair.org on this link.
