    3rd International Workshop on New Material Technologies (IWNMT 2020) is organized by Hong Kong Society of Mechanical Engineers(HKSME). The conference will be held in Sanya, China, from Nov.5-8, 2020, in conjunction with 3rd International Conference on Materials Science and Manufacturing Engineering (MSME 2020)

    We warmly welcome prospective authors to submit your research papers to IWNMT 2020, and share your latest research results and valuable experiences with other top-scientists, engineers and scholars from all over the world.

    ●Publication and Indexing

    All submissions will be peer reviewed, and all the accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings, which will submitted to Engineering Village, SCOPUS, Thomson Reuters(Web of Science) and other databases for review and indexing.

    ●Keynote Speakers(Continuous update)

    Dr. Khamis Essa, University of Birmingham, UK

    Dr Khamis Essa is the Deputy Head of the Advanced Manufacturing Centre at the School of Engineering, the University of Birmingham. Dr Essa is Charter Engineer, Member in the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He also holds Honorary Professorship from the Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, Jordan. He is currently the academic lead for the University of Birmingham campus in Dubai and he was the Deputy Research Director and Employability Champion for the School of Mechanical Engineering. Dr Essa has over 80 journal and conference publications in addition to two patents and one book. He is guest editor for the Micromechanics journal and is setting on the editorial board of three other international journals.

    Prof. Huang Weimin,Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

    Dr Wei Min Huang is currently an Associate Professor (tenured) at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. With over 20 years of experience on various shape memory materials (alloy, polymer, composite and hybrid), he has published over 180 papers in journals, such as Materials Today, Accounts of Chemical Research and Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, and has been invited to review manuscripts from over 200 international journals (including Progress in Polymer Science, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Functional Material, etc), project proposals from American Chemical Society, Hong Kong Research Grants Council, etc, and book proposals from Springer, CRC and Elsevier.

    Prof. Raj Das, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia

    Dr Raj Das is an Associate Professor in the Aerospace and Aviation department of RMIT University, Australia and an honorary academic in the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He is a principal investigator of the ‘Sir Lawrence Wackett Aerospace Research Centre’ of RMIT University. He is an adjunct academic of the University of Quebec, Canada and serves as the Deputy Chair of the ‘National Committee on Applied Mechanics’ of Engineers Australia. Dr Das has published more than 200 papers in international journals and conferences. Dr Das has research capabilities in the topology and shape optimisation of advanced materials and structural designs, computational modelling, fracture mechanics, dynamic fracture, damage tolerance based optimisation, numerical modelling and multi-scale analysis using finite element and mesh-less methods, impact behaviour and failure analysis of metals, ceramic and composite materials.
