International Workshop on Applications of Signal Processing (I-WASP 2011)Kochi, Kerala, IndiaIn Conjunction with International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications (ACC-2011)Technically sponsored by Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) - SIGWEBJuly 22-24, 2011http://www.acc-rajagiri.org/IWASP2011.htmlAim and ScopeThe field of Digital Signal Processing has developed so fast in the last four decades. The development is related to the increasingly available technologies for implementing digital signal processing algorithms. The tremendous growth of development in the digital signal processing area has turned some of its specialized areas into fields themselves. The International Workshop on Applications of Signal Processing (I-WASP 2011) co-located with International Conference on Advances in Computing and Communications (ACC-2011) - http://www.acc-rajagiri.org is aiming at organizing high-profile international workshop on advanced and emerging topics of modern signal processing. The workshop wants to bring together researchers, scientists, engineers, and scholar students to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results about all aspects of Signal Processing, and discuss the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted. Emphasis is laid on transferring theoretical results to practical applications and on building long-term cooperation between teams.Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:Adaptive Signal ProcessingAudio and acoustic signal processingBiomedical signal processingBiometric securityDesign, implementation and applications of signal processing systemsImage and video signal processingIndustry technology tracksInformation hiding and Computer visionMachine learning for signal processingMultimedia signal processingMultidimensional Signal ProcessingMultirate Signal ProcessingParallel and Real-Time Signal ProcessingSensor array and multi-channel signal processingSignal processing for communications and networkingSignal processing theory and methodsSpeech processingStatistical signal processingVLSI Signal ProcessingSubmission InformationAuthors are invited to submit papers through EDAS Conference Management System ((http://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=10027&track=13017)). All the accepted papers will be published by Springer in the series of Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS). CCIS is abstracted/indexed in ISI Proceedings and Scopus. The accepted papers will also be included in the CCIS Electronic Book Series hosted in the SpringerLink Digital Library.Important DatesFull Paper Submission: March 1, 2011Acceptance Notification: April 15, 2011Camera Ready Papers due: May 01, 2011Registration Starts: April 16, 2011Registration Closes: May 01, 2011Conference: July, 22-24, 2011Workshop OrganisersJaison Jacob, Sreeraj K.
