2nd International Workshop on Distributed Collaborative Sensors NetworksSubmission Deadline(extended): January 30, 2009SCOPE AND OBJECTIVESThe 2nd International Workshop on Distributed Collaborative SensorsNetworks aims at providing opportunities to present the most recentadvances and future challenges in the field of distributed, wirelessand mobile communications in sensors networks, as they relate tocollaboration.Wireless Sensors Networks constitute a significant current technology, attracting considerable research interest from various disciplines.Indeed, the wireless sensor technology is employed in emerging areaswith high potential for scientific research, beingused for biomedical, environmental or industrial applications. Theseapplications generally require intelligent dense environment monitoringwhich generates important data volumes.Data collection and analysis need to deal with cooperation andcoordination topics in order to prolong network lifetime and to provideuseful, synthesized information for automation, decision making andsupport. Topology control, by means of clusters or groups, is anotherapplied technique to overcome these challenging problems. The 2nd International Workshop on Distributed Collaborative SensorsNetworks will focus on the research of developing collaborationinfrastructures and solutions in the context ofwireless sensors networks, aiming to bring together researchers andpractitioners in these fields. In addition, the workshop will highlightrecent innovative research results which willstrengthen the formal foundation of this emerging area. This workshopisto be held as part of the 2009 International Symposium onCollaborative Technologies and Systems (CTS09).Topics of Interest include (but are not limited to):? Data and Resource Sharing in Sensors Networks? Collaborative Data Management on Large Scale? Distributed Sensors Architectures? Protocols for Wireless Sensor Networks? Interfacing with Wireless/Mobile Systems? Routing and Data Transport in Wireless Sensor Networks? Group Collaboration in Sensor Networks? Visualization Techniques and Visual Languages for Collaborative SensorNetworks? Multi-sensor Data Fusion? Methods for Ad Hoc Deployment? Algorithms for Sensor Localization and Tracking of Mobile Users? Energy Issues and In-Situ Calibration Methods? Performance Evaluation of Distributed Sensor Networks? Trust and Security Issues in Distributed Collaborative Sensor Systems? Intelligent Sensor Technologies and Applications? Applications Enabled by Collaborative Sensor Network ArchitecturesSUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONSWe invite papers reporting original and unpublished research work onabove and any otherrelated topics from researchers in academia and industry. Submissionshould include a coverpage with authors' names, affiliations, addresses, fax and phonenumbers, and emailaddresses. Include also an abstract of no more than 300 words along witha short list ofkeywords. Please submit an electronic copy of your full draft manuscript (notexceeding 10 pages inIEEE format, single-spaced, double-column, including figures, tables andreferences).Electronic submissions will be accepted only in PDF format, sent byemail to the organizers.Instructions for final manuscript format and requirements will be postedon the Symposium'sweb site later. Submission implies the willingness of at least one ofthe authors to register andpresent the paper, if accepted. All accepted papers are required to bepresented and will beincluded in the conference proceedings. All submitted papers and posters will be rigorously reviewed by at leastthree of the technicalprogram committee members and the reviewers they invite. Papers will beselected based ontheir originality, timeliness, significance, relevance, and clarity ofpresentation. Initialselection will be based on full papers. The selected papers will be published in the CTS 2009 proceedings whichis expected to beincluded in the IEEE Xplore.WORKSHOP ORGANIZERSThe technical program committee of DCSN 2009 is co-chaired byHerve GuyennetEmail: herve dot guyennet at lifc dot univ-fcomte dot frLIFC, 16 Route de Gray, 25030 Besan?on, FranceVioleta FeleaEmail: violeta dot felea at lifc dot univ-fcomte dot frLIFC, 16 Route de Gray, 25030 Besan?on, FranceDavid MartinsEmail: david dot martins at lifc dot univ-fcomte dot frLIFC, 16 Route de Gray, 25030 Besan?on, FranceTechnical Program Committee?
