10th Workshop on Positioning, Navigation and Communication 2013 (WPNC'13)The University of Applied Sciences (HTW) Dresden is proud to announce the 10th Workshop on Positioning, Navigation and Communication 2013 (WPNC'13), which will take place in Dresden, Germany, March 20-21, 2013.ScopeLocalization is touching every aspect of our everyday life. Advanced location aware services are enabled by ranging and positioning techniques attracting great attention from scientists and industry alike. Recent advances in heterogeneous sensor fusion, p2p-networks, context awareness, privacy and security are enabling new system solutions and bring in new challenges to be solved at the same time. WPNC, the premier event on Positioning and Navigation in Europe, continues to provide an international platform for exchanging latest research results and inputs from the industry. Be part of the positioning revolution and submit your original contribution to WPNC 2013.WPNC 2013 is going to continue the successful row of preceding events and to extend it by substantial keynote speeches, in-depth tutorials and a growing number of industrial participation.Call for PapersThe Call for Papers can be downloaded here.AwardsBest WPNC'13 PaperBest WPNC'13 Student PaperBest WPNC'13 DemoTopicsAuthors are invited to submit papers presenting scientific work, practical implementations or application scenarios addressing, but not limited to the following topics:Context awareness in localizationSemantic localizationSimultaneous localization and mappingLocation and behavior modelingLocalization in sensor networksCognitive positionRanging/Positioning techniquesRFID based approachesInertial Data fusion techniquesActive & passive object trackingUnderwater localizationUltra-sound rangingPropagation issues & antennasUWB ranging / UWB imagingCooperative localizationNavigationPedestrian/special forces navigationVehicle and robot navigationAsset trackingIndustrial process automationLocalization related R&D projectsLocalization for the Internet of ThingsPositioning techniquesUWB ranging techniquesLocation-aided communicationsLocation aided Communication and ApplicationsLocalization in robotics and automotiveLocal/Global application scenariosIntegrated positioning & communicationHealth, public transport, M2M, Smart GridRobust and Secure PositioningPrivacy in localizationLocation based securitySecure ranging and localizationFundamental limits of secure positioningAnti-jamming techniquesOutlier/NLOS robustnessEnergy efficient localizationComplexity reductionEnergy-accuracy trade-offTraffic reductionEnergy harvesting for localizationSubmission GuidelinesFull Papers (max. 6 pages) or Extended Abstracts (2-5 pages) may be submitted electronically in PDF-format in English language to http://wpnc13.trackchair.com until the 25th of November 2012 (detailed instruction will follow).
