Call For Papers - CFP
Dear Colleagues,We are pleased to invite you to participate in the International Workshop on Cloud-Service DataCenter Networks (CDN 2015) http://hu.edu.jo/workshop/page2.aspx?pid=9 That is going to be held in conjunction with the 10th International Conference on Future Networks and Communications (FNC 2015)in Belfort, France, August 17-20, 2015.http://cs-conferences.acadiau.ca/fnc-15/Important Dates:Submission Deadline: April 30, 2015 (Extended)Authors Notification: May 25, 2015Camera-ready for Accepted Papers: June 25, 2015ScopeToday’s Data-Center Networks (DCNs) employ expensive high-level networking equipmentsin associated structures thatwere not originally designed to meet the increasing requirementsof the current large-scale DCNs' services. Limitations that vary between reliability, resourceutilization, and high costs are challenging. The era of Cloud Computing represents a promiseto overcome the aforementioned challenge, and provide for scalable services. The computing platforms of such Cloud-Service DCNs consist of large number of commodity servers that, witha theme of virtualization on top, can meet the reliability and performance of the expensivehigh-level servers at only a fraction of the price.Recently, the research in virtual DCNs started to evolve rapidly. Being virtual networks, this opened the path for the concept of network migration. Indeed, virtual DCNscan migrate from one physical location to another for many reasons startingfrom power requirements to resource availability. Now, when considering theidea of migration, many factors need to be taken into account in order to findthe appropriate place that satisfies the requirements of the migrating networkwhile not affecting the hosting ones.Topics of interest include but are not limited to- Cloud-service data-center networks. - Theoretical analysis for data-center networks. - Physical data-center network migration. - Virtual Data-center networks. - Migrating cloud-service data-center network. - Optimal data-center networks' architecture. - Intra and Inter network traffic engineering in data-center networks. - Software Defined Networks and virtual networking devices. - Analysis of the cloud network systems. - Addressing and load-balancing in cloud-service data-center networks. ProceedingAll papers accepted for workshops will be included in the FNC-2015 proceedings, which will be published by ElsevierScience in the open-access Procedia Computer Science series. The authors must follow Elsevier guidelines given inFNC-2015 website. The number of pages for the workshop papers is limited to 6 pages.Procedia Computer Sciences is hosted on www.Elsevier.com and on Elsevier content platform ScienceDirect (www.sciencedirect.com),and it will be freely available worldwide. All papers in Procedia will be indexed by Scopus (www.scopus.com) and by Thomson Reuters'Conference Proceeding Citation Index.CommitteesWorkshop ChairsAl-Sakib Khan Pathan, International Islamic University Malaysia, MalaysiaZahoor Khan, Dalhouise University, CanadaWorkshop OrganizersAhmad Nahar Quttoum, The Hashemite University, JordanAbidAlRahman Mohammad, Dalhousie University, CanadaTechnical Program CommitteeAbdAllah Jarray, University of Ottawa, CanadaAbdAlRahman Al Tahhan, Sunderland University, UKAbdAlMalik Al Refai, EastNets, JordanAhmad Abu Ashour, Ecole de Technologie Superieure, CanadaAwni Itradat, The Hashemite University, JordanCon Tran, Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, CanadaFiras Omar, Zarqa University, JordanJean-Marc Robert, University of Quebec, CanadaKhaled AlMakhadmeh, The Hashemite University, JordanKhalil Yousef, The Hashemite University, JordanMohammad Othman, OpesCode, UKOsamah Badarneh, Tabuk University, KSARebeca Estrada, ESPOL, Ecuador--Regards,Ahmad Nahar Quttoum, Ph.D.Chair of Computer Engineering DepartmentFaculty of EngineeringThe Hashemite University, JordanE3052, P.O.Box 150459, Zarqa, JordanT: +962-53903333.
