Call For Papers - CFP
Following the overwhelming success of the first International Workshop on Situated Computing for Pervasive Environments (SCOPE-2011a), the second in the series (SCOPE-2011b) is also dedicated to the dissemination of original works that are related to the theories of emerging paradigms yet most importantly of their applicability towards autonomous adaptation to complex environments caused from highly dynamic user contexts. In particular, SCOPE-2011 will discuss advances in situated and pervasive computing, that is to say about computing devices having the autonomous ability of adapting, detecting, interpreting and responding to the user's future smart environment. Future smart systems increasingly require advanced networks, middleware and interfaces for enabling collaborative technologies, distributed computing and intelligent systems provide an autonomous pervasive environment satisfying user needs.TopicsTopics of interest include (but not limited to):Autonomous AdaptationChanging Network EnvironmentsDistributed Environments, Crowd and Collaborative ComputingUser Needs, Interfaces and Complex EnvironmentsMiddleware for Pervasive Network ComputingMiddleware and Information Security in Pervasive Network ComputingWireless Pervasive Network ComputingSensor and Robots Networks in Pervasive Network ComputingSmart Environments and Ambient IntelligenceTransparency, Locality and Scalability Issues in Middleware for Pervasive Network ComputingInterfaces and Methods for Interconnection of Heterogeneous Networks and DevicesProgramming Interfaces for Smart EnvironmentsDatabase Access Middleware and Database Interface Layering for Sensor NetworksIntelligent Query Languages and Interfaces for Pervasive Network ComputingNew Interactive Styles (of Human Computer Interaction) in Pervasive Network ComputingImportant datesPaper submissions - 1 April, 2010Notification of acceptance - 6 May, 2011Camera ready versions due - 27 May, 2011Camera ready versions due - 27 May, 2011Conference dates - 7-9 September, 2011International Workshop Program Committee - to be confirmedInstruction for authorsSubmitted papers of between 4-6 pages long must be original and not submitted for publication elsewhere.Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts following the IEEE Conference Proceedings Manuscript style: two columns, single-spaced, including figures and references, using 10 font size, and number each page. You can find instructions for authors how to format the IEEE CS proceedings manuscripts, at the following web page:http://www.computer.org/portal/site/cscps
All papers will be peer reviewed by at least two or more independent referees of the International Workshop Program Committee and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit, originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. The papers should be submitted electronically via the EIDWT-2011 submission system. Details are available from:http://voyager.ce.fit.ac.jp/~eidwt2011/submission.html
Accepted papers will be published by the IEEE Conference Publishing Services (CPS) and archived in the Digital Library. Previous proceedings of the PARELEC conferences are available on the IEEE website (www.ieee.org, Xplore service, only abstracts are free).
