Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) has been widely adopted in business, education, government and industries. The service-oriented technologies continually evolve to support the demands for more flexibility and responsiveness under dynamic situations. Besides, there are urgent needs of service-oriented solutions which consolidate business process, domain knowledge and IT facilities in a coherent manner. How to fulfill divergent requests by leveraging well-defined services remains a great challenge nowadays.The 2011 International Workshop on Service-Oriented Applications, Integration and Collaboration (SOAIC 2011) is an annual event since 2005. SOAIC has the mission to bridge the gap between business and information technology using service-oriented paradigms, technologies and approaches. It has established itself as a successful international forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and experiences on service-oriented applications and technologies.
