GENERAL INFORMATIONCnet 2011 is the first workshop at ITC on complex network theory and its application tocommunication engineering. The concept is arising from random graph theory and statisticalphysics and constitutes a very important, rapidly growing branch of modern teletraffic theory. The workshop will cover all aspects of modeling, analysis, and control of complexinfrastructures ranging from purely theoretical achievements to practical applicationsregarding the design of next generation networks. The objective is to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners working in differentdisciplines to present innovative theoretical results and to illustrate recent developmentregarding modeling and analysis tools to detect complex structures nd to control them ina decentralized or self-organized manner. Fresh ideas will be exchanged and open problemsand new directions will be discussed. The workshop is co-located with the 23rd International Teletraffic Congress (ITC 2011).TOPICSCnet 2011 solicits novel unpublished material on modeling, analysis and control of complex networksincluding (but not limited to) the following topics:o Modeling and Analysis of Communication Infrastructureso analysis of random graph models and multiplicativestochastic processeso percolation properties of equilibrium and growing networkso characterization, inference and evolution of topologieso robustness and vulnerability of network infrastructureso influence and epidemic spreading in complex networkso investigation of scalability propertieso algebraic and graph-theoretical partitioning techniques andspectral optimization of modularity conceptso formation of communities and their algorithmic detectiono Control of Complex Networkso emergence properties of real networkso control methods and algorithms for complex networkso synchronization in complex networkso signaling and distributed control protocolso Inference and Design Algorithms for NGNso inference of complex network properties in deployedinfrastructureso structural inference and analysis of the user behavior insocial networkso immunization strategies for NGNso tools supporting analysis, inference and prediction ofcomplex networksSUBMISSIONSAuthors should prepare a PDF version of their paper not exceeding 8 double-column pages in IEEE conferenceformat with a font size not smaller than 10 points. They should submit the paper electronicallybefore the deadline via EDAS at URL: http://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=10395
Notification of acceptance will be send to the authors not later than July 1, 2010. In case of acceptancethe final (Postscript or PDF) version of the full paper is due by July 24, 2010.All accepted contributions will appear as full papers in the conference proceedings and require a registrationof at least one co-author as workshop participant before the deadline. It is planned to considerextended versions of the papers for publication in the journal ''Computer Communications''.REGISTRATIONThe registration and payment issues will be managed by the organization of ITC 2011.The registration deadline of the workshop is set to July 24, 2010.IMPORTANT DATES o Submission deadline: May 8, 2011o Acceptance notification: July 1,2011o Final version: July 24, 2011o Registration deadline: July 24,2011o Workshop: September 9,2011GENERAL CHAIRS o Piet Van Mieghem, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlandso Udo Krieger, University of Bamberg, GermanyLOCAL ARRANGEMENT CO-CHAIRS o Christian Doerr, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlandso Philipp Eittenberger, University of Bamberg, Germanyo Huijuan Wang, Delft University of Technology, The NetherlandsTECHNICAL PROGRAMME COMMITTEEo Rob Kooij, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlandso Udo Krieger, University of Bamberg, Germanyo Fernando Kuipers, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlandso Natalia Markovich, Russian Academy of Sciences, Russiao Otto Spaniol, RWTH Aachen, GermanyKeywords: Accepted papers list.
