Conference on Semantics in Healthcare and Life Sciences (CSHALS)

    Welcome to CSHALS 2012!

CSHALS is the premier annual event focused on the use of semantic technologies in the pharmaceutical industry, including hospitals/healthcare institutions and academic research labs. With an expanded scope that includes the emerging field of data science, CSHALS is the place to be in 2012!

Rather than a Semantic Web conference, CSHALS focuses on specific applications of semantic technologies, and pays particular attention to data science product relevance. Attendees will gain a better understanding of where the field is headed and be prepared to advance with the field.

As in past years, the 2011 conference was highly rated in the following areas:

    Tutorial topics

    Keynote speakers

    Conference agenda

    Conference logistics/organization

    Past attendee comments included…

"I thought the speakers were excellent."

"Well conducted in terms of bioinformatics technology."

"Terrific conference and I learned a lot ? felt like I was able to contribute something as well."

"Very good mix, a bit futuristic … but highly necessary to keep exposing to less technology savvy folks."

"Cambridge (MA, USA) is a good location, with good transportation links to regional, national, and international attendees."

93% of the 2011 attendees will recommend this conference to others. CSHALS is your place to be in 2012!
