The theme of the 4th e-Health and Environment Conference under the HBMeU 2012 Annual Congress is “Building an Innovative and Competitive Vision for e-Health and Environment” in the 21st Century. In the current state of high economic pressures, rapidly evolving healthcare technologies and documented environmental risks, the need for innovative visions becomes a priority. Previously implemented strategies fell apart form achieving the desired outcomes and calls for a new vision that takes all factors into account.The 4th e-Health and Environment Conference will provide unique opportunities for researchers to build this new vision through tackling specific healthcare and environmental topics. These topics are presented in the following section which represents priority topics for the conference sessions.
