The STAKE 2011 Program Committee invites submission of papers for the 3rd Semantic Technology and Knowledge Engineering Conference (STAKE). The purpose of the conference is to promote scientific interchange among practitioners of applied Semantic Technology and Knowledge Engineering. The conference is hosted by MIMOS BERHAD and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) and will be co-located with the 3rd Malaysian Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (MJCAI2011) at UNITEN Putrajaya Campus, Malaysia.Original and previously unpublished submissions are invited on all aspects of applied Semantic Technology and Knowledge Engineering, but not limited to:Ambient Intelligence Information Integration Information IntegrationInformation Integration Information Extraction Peer-to-Peer SystemseGovernment Digital Libraries Semantic Web for Life SciencesASocial Sciences Knowledge representation Context modeling and managementDecision support systems Ontology engineering Semantic webOntology sharing and reuse Knowledge reengineering Intelligent problem solvingHuman-machine cooperation Intelligent multi-agent systems Domain analysis and modelingMobile access to knowledge systems Cognitive Systems Reasoning about action/changeMultimedia Data Management Service-Oriented Computing eScienceGrid Computing eCommerce BioinformaticsSensor Web eHealth SatisfiabilityMobile Computing Knowledge acquisition Reflection and metadata approachesExpert systems Networked ontologies Process knowledge and semantic servicesOntology matching and alignment AI programming Natural language processinge-Business and interoperability issues Applications and case-studies Meta-modelingand any other application area of Semantic Technologies and Knowledge Engineering.Submission GuidelinesPapers are to be submitted electronically online in PDF format and are limited to 8-10 pages in length including all figures, references, etc. Papers must be formatted following Springer's Communications in Computer and Information Science style ISSN: 1865- 0929.. Overlong or incorrectly formatted papers are subject to rejection without review.Review ProcessAll submissions will be subject to blind review by three program committee members Notification of acceptance or rejection will be via email and will be as per the IMPORTANT Dates. Papers will be accepted as either full written papers with an oral presentation or as short papers with a poster presentation. Authors of accepted papers are expected to register and present their work at the conference (note that failure to present a full-written paper may result in disqualification from submission to future STAKE conferences).Multiple Submission PolicyPapers submitted to this conference must not have been accepted for publication elsewhere or be under review for another conference (with the exception of specialized workshops). Papers found not to meet these requirements are subject to rejection without review.PublicationFull and short papers accepted for presentation at STAKE 2011 will be published as conference proceedings. To cover publication costs at least one author for each accepted paper must register.
