    Call For Papers - CFP

Recent years have seen an increased effort to scan, index, and provide electronic access to historical documents held in archives and special collections. These materials are often inaccessible to the world in general. Moreover, given the fragile and unique nature of these materials they require special consideration when imaging, processing, and digitally archiving. The goal of this workshop is to bring together an international cadre of academic, archivists, as well as private, industrial and government researchers, and others who are working on topics related to this area.

    Scope:

We strongly encourage interdisciplinary papers and would like to keep a wide scope. However, in order to align the workshop with the ICDAR audience we require that all papers:

be related to aspects of digital imaging, collection and processing of historical documents.

    Or,

present perspectives and work from archivists in their efforts towards digitization of materials.

All papers accepted to HIP will be published and indexed in the ACM digital library.
